Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi
Chairman of the Department of Education and Knowledge of Abu Dhabi, Member of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, Chairman of the Steering Board of The International Center of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism “Hedayah”.
Biography. Dr. Al Nuaimi holds a Ph.D. in Education from the Imam Mohammed Bin Saoud University, Saudi Arabia; a M.Sc. in Education from Portland State University, USA; and a B.Sc. in Education from Portland State University, USA.
Dr. Al Nuaimi is serving as the Chairman of the Steering Board of Hedayah, the International Center of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism, since it was established in December 2012. Based in Abu Dhabi, Hedayah is the first independent and international ‘‘Think & Do Tank’’ focused on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE).
Dr. Al Nuaimi also serves as the Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders (MCE) since it was established in July 2014, in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Al Nuaimi is a founding member of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies that annually convenes Muslim Scholars, intellectuals and leading thinkers from around the world to discuss topics with the objective of diminishing the hatred within the nations and clarifying to the world that Islam is a religion of peace and justice.
