Esenamanova Nurgul Satyndievna
Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Social and Humanitarian Sciences of the Kyrgyz State Law Academy under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Research activities: religious security, religious fundamentalism, religious radicalism, religious extremism, Islam in the context of globalization, Islam in Kyrgyzstan.
Biography.NurgulEsenamanova graduated from the Kyrgyz State National University and received a degree in philosophy in 1999 and the Diploma of the candidate of political Sciences in 2004. She participated in the field research “Mapping the radicalization of the South of the Kyrgyz Republic” and “Hizbut – Tahrir in the Kyrgyz Republic: current state and tendencieswithin the project “Strengthening the capacity to prevent violent extremism in the Kyrgyz Republic”. From 2010 to 2012,Nurgul was the head of the project «Youth and religious extremism in the Kyrgyz Republic” commissioned by the Ministry of education and science of the Kyrgyz Republic.From 2015 to 2016 worked as a religious scholar of a sociological study “Study of the Current Religious Situation in the Kyrgyz Republic” in the framework of the UNDP “Peacebuilding” project together with the State Commission on Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. 2017-2018 – Head of the research group of the project “Organization of work of the staff of the penitentiary system with a contingent of convicts for extremist and terrorist crimes” of the he State Penitentiary Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
